Skype Co-Founder, Janus Friis is reportedly suing his ex-fiance over gifts that were given to her as part of their engagement. One of those gifts happens to be a $471,000 platinum and diamond engagement ring.
According to reports, the engagement was called off once Janus learned that his Danish popstar girlfriend, Aura Dione, was cheating on him with multiple men. It would make sense that he would want the “gifts” back, but are they really considered gifts? Either way, he is suing Aura for failure to return the engagement ring.
So here is our question: The engagement is officially over, but you’re feeling sentimental. Is it okay to keep the ring or does the purchase price (or reason for the breakup) make a difference?
